Live Load Deflection
The live load deflection check consists of calculating the deflection due to special live load combination for LFD or LRFD and checking it against maximum allowable live load deflection. If the live load deflection exceeds the allowable, the condition is flagged.
LFD
This check is based on LFD Section 8.9.3. CIP RC/PT Girder calculates the end spans as cantilevered only for the distance from BB to left abutment and from right abutment to EB.
LRFD
This check is based on LRFD Section 2.5.6.2. CIP RC/PT Girder calculates the controlling (larger) deflection from the two combinations listed herein, i.e. truck only, or 25% of truck plus lane. CIP RC/PT Girder calculates the end spans as cantilevered only for the distance from BB to left abutment and from right abutment to EB.
